If your heart beats to the rhythm of "Yet To Come" and you've ever called yourself ARMY, then these spots in Korea are a must on your journey. These aren't just tourist attractions — they're BTS cafés and seaside views where the air itself whispers “saranghaeyo.”

Save this post, build your dream itinerary, and get ready to walk in their footsteps — literally. I've been to all these places myself, and every step is full of ARMY magic :) 1. HyuGa Cafe & Bakery — former BTS dormitory 🛏️

Before BTS became global superstars, they lived very humbly — and one of their first dormitories was located in this building in the Nonhyeon area of Gangnam.

Later, the space was converted into a cafe, but the walls, stairs, and layout remain almost unchanged — which gives the place a warm, "homey" atmosphere. Many fans say they can feel the "presence of history" when they’re there 💜

The walls are completely covered with notes, drawings, fan art, photos, and love confessions left by fans from all over the world. This wasn’t organized by the company — it grew organically from the love of the people themselves 🖼️

Each sticker tells a little story. Some people draw Jungkook with wings, others write heartfelt letters to Yoongi, while some simply leave a note saying, "I was here, and I love BTS." The atmosphere is incredibly warm and cozy ✨

They often hold mini-events, fan meetings, and birthday celebrations for the members of the group here. The cafe has become a gathering point for the international ARMY community. Many fans fly to Seoul specifically to stand by these walls, even if just for a moment. What's inside?

  • A spacious hall with concrete walls, 90% of which are covered in ARMY stickers

  • Photos of BTS, BT21, and fan art

  • Coffee, teas, and homemade pastries — delicious and comforting

  • A peaceful atmosphere where you can sit by the window and just catch your breath

BTS POP-UP / LINE FRIENDS STORE Myeongdong — Merch, Handprints, and BT21 All in One

ree

This is the flagship LINE FRIENDS store, which features a special section dedicated to BTS and their characters. They also host temporary pop-ups — interactive exhibitions designed around BTS albums, concepts, and the BTS universe.

People come here not just for the merchandise — they come to touch the magic, take photos with installations, see the handprints of the members, and feel just a little bit closer to their favorite idols 📸

What's inside?

  • BT21 Zone — the cutest characters created by the BTS members themselves (for example, Chimmy by Jimin, Tata by Taehyung, and so on)

  • BTS Handprints — SUGA, Jungkook, J-Hope, and others. Yes, you can actually place your hand next to theirs ✋ By the way, my hand is almost the same size as Jimin’s 😄

  • Photo Zones and Art Walls — you can take photos as if you're part of a music video or an artbook concept

  • Exclusive Merchandise — from plush toys to keychains, cosmetic bags, clothing, and accessories

  • Interactive Zones — sometimes there are video walls, AR photo spots, and album-themed areas (for example, Proof or Butter)

BTS Bus Stop, Gangneung — The Stop from You Never Walk Alone in Real Life This is not just a bus stop. It’s a visual symbol of one of the most emotional eras of BTS. This very stop appeared on the cover of the album You Never Walk Alone (2017) and later in the music video. It became a metaphor for waiting, hope, friendship — and that unique kind of loneliness you experience, but never truly alone 💜

Since then, the bus stop in Gangneung has become a pilgrimage site for fans from all over the world. People come here to stand by the sea, take photos, write their thoughts in a notebook, or simply listen to "Spring Day" with the sound of the waves in the background^^

Here, you can relax both mentally and physically while enjoying the view of the East Sea from the purple benches with the members' names. You might have to wait in line for a bit to take a photo at the bus stop, as everyone wants to capture this beautiful moment

I nteresting facts about this place:

  • At the time of the You Never Walk Alone album shoot (2017), the bus stop was built specifically for the photo shoot. It didn’t exist in reality — it was a temporary structure

  • After the album's release, fans quickly fell in love with the location and started visiting. However, when they didn’t find the bus stop, they began writing letters to the city administration. As a result, in 2018, the Gangneung authorities installed a permanent replica of the bus stop, closely resembling the original

  • This is not a real bus stop in a transportation sense. It exists only as an art installation dedicated to BTS. Buses don’t go there — only tourists and ARMY

  • Nearby, there’s a commemorative plaque with information about BTS and the album. In both Korean and English, it explains why this place is important and how BTS has influenced the region's tourism 🚅 How to get from Seoul? First, take the KTX train: From Seoul Station to Gangneung Station (~2 hours) Then, take a taxi (~20–30 minutes) or a bus to Hyangho Beach.

📍 Address: Hyangho Beach, Gangneung(향호해변 방탄소년단 버스정류장) Korean address: 강원도 강릉시 주문진읍 향호리 8-35 I hope this article was helpful to you! I will continue sharing interesting places in South Korea that are definitely worth visiting.

See you in future articles — and may your journey through the world of BTS be unforgettable! ✈️
